On Easter Sunday, we set off from home after some lunch and made our way down to Potton where we stayed with Ryan, Jeny, and baby Elliot in their beautiful new house arriving shortly after 4pm. They treated us to a delicious BBQ, and we had a relaxing evening chatting and playing with Elliot.

After a poor night’s sleep, being woken up by some drunk lads trying to get in to our room at 2am, we had some breakfast and planned our day. The weather forecast was dismal, with heavy rain across the region all day. Not to be perturbed, we put on our coats, and headed out the door.

On the August Bank Holiday weekend, we set off to visit Bristol, Bath, and beyond. Helen travelled down on the Friday morning by train, and I drove down later on in the afternoon, after a morning of work, followed by dropping the cats off at the cattery.

After the Fitzwilliam Museum, we continued along Trumpington Street North towards the college buildings. There were cyclists everywhere, very few of whom obeyed the rules of the road (stopping at traffic lights, riding on the left, not riding on the pavement etc.), but this didn’t detract much from us admiring the amazing architecture on every corner.
