We woke up nice and early and met up with some of the wedding party for breakfast before getting ready for the day. From 10am, Helen would be tied up with bridesmaids duties, and the wedding didn’t start till 2pm, so I decided to go for a drive.

Today we needed to move hotels, from the Jurys Inn to Eynsham Hall where our friends Claire and Dan are due to marry tomorrow afternoon. We packed up and had breakfast, then I decided to drive in to Oxford for a museum tour while Helen had a relaxing morning.

Following on from an active Wednesday, we set off Thursday morning for another adventure. Today would be more of a mixed bag rather than concentrating on one area like the Cotswolds.

On the August Bank Holiday weekend, we set off to visit Bristol, Bath, and beyond. Helen travelled down on the Friday morning by train, and I drove down later on in the afternoon, after a morning of work, followed by dropping the cats off at the cattery.

Left alone with Helen in London again, today’s day out started with another drive in to North Wales. The weather wasn’t as great as it had been recently and it started raining just as I arrived in Conwy, the problem was: it was still too warm for a coat! Anyway, I parked up and headed for the castle.
