Pancakes for breakfast today for me, salmon for Helen, then we were off to Truro. We arrived around 10am and started exploring the city, going from bookstore to gallery to souvenir shop.

After a long sleep and a lie-in, we went down for breakfast in the hotel for 8am, had to book our time in due to COVID but we could’ve probably slept for another hour. Breakfast was lovely, but our waitress wasn’t very good with complicated orders so I was missing a sausage and Helen was missing a mushroom. Nice and tasty though!

The weather this morning was beautiful: sunny but cool. Since we thought it might be the last nice day of Summer, we headed off to Denbigh for some castle-spotting and a spot of elevenses.

We woke up nice and early and met up with some of the wedding party for breakfast before getting ready for the day. From 10am, Helen would be tied up with bridesmaids duties, and the wedding didn’t start till 2pm, so I decided to go for a drive.

Today we needed to move hotels, from the Jurys Inn to Eynsham Hall where our friends Claire and Dan are due to marry tomorrow afternoon. We packed up and had breakfast, then I decided to drive in to Oxford for a museum tour while Helen had a relaxing morning.
